Featured Content Slider

Easliy add posts or/and pages to the content slider on the home page with a custom field called slider. The image in the slider can be linked to the post/page or open an image or evem a video (Vimeo/Youtube) in a lightbox.

Apart from the options mentioned below to add your content to the slider you can select your preferred slider effect. Choose between fade, scroll horizontal, scroll vertical or none. Further you can set the slider pause (delay of auto slide) or switch off the auto slide.

Add Post or Pages to the Slider

You can easily add content to the slider by creating a custom field called slider in the post or page you want to appear in the slider on the home page. You can mix post and pages without any problems.

Customize Image of the Slider

Once you added a post or page the post thumbnail of this entry will be displayed in the slider. If the main post thumbnail does not fit, you can apply an extra slider image (470x300px) by creating a custom field called slider_image with the image URL as the value.

Customize Link of the Slider

By default the slider image will be linked to the entry you added using the above method. But sometimes you want to appear the image without being linked to this entry. In this case you can add a custom link by creating a custom field called slider_link.

Open Lightbox from the Slider

Another useful option is to open an image or even a video (Vimeo/Youtube) from the slider. All you have to do is create a custom field called slider_lightbox and add the image or video link as the value of this field.

Embed Code in the Slider

To directly embed a video or any other code into the slider please add a custom field called slider_embed and insert your embed code into the value field. A size of 470x300px is recommended to fill up the slider space.
