Advanced Widget Support

The home page, the sidebar and the footer are easy-customizable through widgets. The sidebar and the footer are nested widgets areas. You can create sub widget areas for home page, category pages, single posts and static pages.

Widget Area Home

You have full control over your home page content. You can use all the default WordPress widgets or choose one or more custom deVision widgets. To be able to create a home page showcasing the most important features of your company or product I decided to create a Features Box widget.

This widget is a very advanced text widget. You can add an icon to the headline of the widget, of course set the title and main text, attach an image (URL or media ID) and optionally display a button with custom label and link (URL or post/page ID).

Widget Area Sidebar

As a matter of course the sidebar is also widget ready and supports all the WordPress and deVision widgets. Further the sidebar is a nested widget area. That means that you can optionally create sub sidebars for category pages, single post pages and/or static pages. If a sub widget area is not active a general sidebar will be displayed.

Widget Area Footer

Last but not least there is the footer widget area that also supports all the WordPress and deVision widgets. Like the sidebar the footer is a nested widget area. That means that you can optionally create sub footers for the home page, category pages, single post pages and/or static pages. If a sub widget area is not active a general footer will be displayed.

deVision Custom Widgets

The business theme deVision comes with a number of custom widgets to give you the highest flexibility when placing your custom content into the theme.

• deVision About:
  Display about section in deVision (title, text, avatar, link)
• deVision Comments:
  Display recent comments in deVision (title, number of comments, length of comment excerpt)
• deVision Features Box:
  Features box on home page (or sidebar/footer, title, icon, text, image, link)
• deVision Flickr:
  Display flickr badge in deVision (title, user, number of fotos)
• deVision News:
  Recent news in deVision (title, category, number of posts)
• deVision Newsletter:
  Newsletter form for deVision (title, feedburner ID, default text)
• deVision Search:
  Search form for deVision (title)
• deVision Twitter:
  Display latest tweets in deVision (title, user, number of tweets, follow link, link label)
