deNovo Content Slider

You can optionally choose recent articles, featured entries or pages for the featured content slider.

If you choose to display pages in the slider, please add pages by creating a custom field called page with the value slider on the page edit screen.

The slider will display the post / page content until the more tag and use the post thumbnail (featured image). To add videos to the slider please create a custom field called slider_embed and the video embed code in the value input field.

Slider Options

Through the theme options page you have full controll over the featured content slider without having to mess around with code. Setup your custom options in seconds.

1. Display

Just checkt the box if you want to get rid of the slider and it’s Javascripts in the theme code.

2. Effect

Select your preferred slider effect. You can choose between the following options: fade, scrollHorz, scrollVert, uncover, zoom, shuffle, none

3. Timer

You decide how many seconds the slider pauses on each item. Just put 0 to deactivate the auto slide function.

4. Content

The slider can display different types of content. You might want to display the most recent articles of your blog / news section or of a featured category. But you can also display pages (with or without Read more button).

5. Category (if posts selected)

If you select the content type posts, you can optionally set a featured slider category. The most recent articles of all categories will be display if you leave this empty.

6. Items (if posts selected)

Select how many posts you want to be accessible in the content slider.

7. Drop Shadow

The slider creates a dropshadow for the slider image. This will only work when the image is not transparent. On the home page of this demo I hided the drop shadow because my slider images are partially transparent.
