Page Templates

Page Templates

deFacto also includes a useful set of custom page templates to be as flexible as possible.

Blog (latest posts)

This page template comes in handy if you want to create a page with the most recent posts without having to add a category or something → see example

Favorites

A handy feature of deFacto is the favorites page. This is especially useful for websites with a lot of content. If you create a page with this template, a Add to Favorites link will be displayed after each post.

When you click on that link, the corresponding post will be added to your list and a link to the favorites page becomes visible. The little cross next to the post title can be clicked to remove an article from the list. Try it out and add some posts to the list.

Headlines

I always like this feature on news websites. The headlines page template lets you display the headlines of the latest articles of your site. For a better overview the headlines are ordered by month → see example

Latest Videos

As this theme includes a custom post type for video posts, the latest video page template displays the most recent videos of your website. Of course you can also create your own video tag and create the archive yourself to not show ALL the videos → see example

Subpages

To be able to nicely organize your static page content deFacto includes a page template that lists all the existing child pages of a current page. This is really useful for hierarchical content. Just create a parent page and display teasers (post image and excerpt) of the child pages after the page content → see example
